FUNDRAISING
Following the success of the Jumble Sale in October 2007, when over £700 was raised on the day. For the first time we used Bags for Schools, who took the remaining clothes and textiles. Due to the huge success of this event it was decided to hold a Jumble Sale twice yearly again.
£2,500 has also been received from Trelaw Fund.

GROUNDS/
The new Storage Shed was built in September and finished in late October. It was finally shelved out in early December with everyone being moved by late December. A 1,000 litre water butt has been installed to gather water from the roof.
We have been in contact with our landlord Bevills Farm Partnership regarding hire costs for the camp site and rent rate for the site.
John Whittle (parent) has been given the hand drawn plans from Ken McAndrew to put onto CAD so we have computer generated plans that will need to be re-submit to the Planning Department at Babergh District Council for the re-vamped kitchen and toilet/shower area.
Although I have been in office for a short period of time, it has become apparent that all those involved in the local group are truly dedicated to helping our young people. I would therefore like to thank all the Leaders, Assistants and Helpers who give up so much of their time and my fellow Officers Juliette Bingham (Secretary) and Jane Chambers (Treasurer). Finally huge thanks to Graham Lumley (GSL) who has carefully guided me through my first few months at Bures Scout and Guide Supporters Group.
