THE CROFT CAMP SITE
CONDITIONS OF USE

The Scout Law is accepted as the Law of the site. However, there are some guidelines that MUST be made for the safety and comfort of all site users.

Please park cars, vans, trailers inside the camp site at the top of the site after unloading of equipment. Vehicles must be well away from tents  and fire pits etc (fire risk). DO NOT block entrance to the Sudbury Road.

Only guide DOGS are allowed on site.

KEEP ALL GATES SHUT AT ALL TIMES. Sheep/cattle could be grazing in next field!

Access to River Stour straight in front of the container for Canoeing and Rafting etc. Use the slip way and landing stage.

KEEP OUT of Allotment area. For Water Point use outside tap at the Scout Headquarters or standpipe by hose. Altar Fires allowed. Camp Fire Area. Use designated area.
 

NO AIR RIFLE SHOOTING ON SITE - unless the activity is run by Qualified Leaders.


HAND AXES should only be used in your own Chopping Area for kindling only. Trees and Shrubs should not be touched.

Elsan point in Scout Headquarters grounds on your left after entering through gates.

NO PITS allowed wet or dry on Camp Site. Please place your rubbish in the headquarters wheelie bins (green/black general rubbish) (blue recycled - see lid for details). When disposing of ash, place onto the Camp Fire circle area.

Use of toilet in SHQ building. Please clean after use. Cleaning materials and mops under main sink. The main door through to the building will be locked. Please tell your campers etc. Leave mop just inside door. Lock up and put key through letter box at the end of your camp, please. During your stay at night lock the toilet door.

When clearing up, please leave your site how you would expect to find it. It is essential the site users do not leave grass level obstruction such as tent pegs in the ground. These can cause damage to mowing equipment etc. The wood pile should be kept tidy. Bricks should be put back onto the pallet next to the wood pile. Close all gates.

Please remember you have neighbours, the site has a 10.00pm-7.30am curfew, by which time your site MUST be quiet. Radios, ipods, DVD players etc should not be heard on your campsite at anytime during your stay, please.

1st Bures Scout Group does not accept liability for loss or damage to cars, tents or any property belonging to the user of the camp site (including property belonging to the Hirer) etc.

Camp Site Fees etc to be paid on arrival or during your stay. Cash or Cheques. Cheques should be made payable to 1st Bures Scout Group.
