Two-mile Bottom Camp Site
Over the last couple of months – Scouts have been preparing for their Expedition Challenge – Hike/Camp and Go Ape activity. They each had to organise: food, tents, kit list, route of hike and camp site.
Scouts assembled at the Scout Headquarters on Saturday 12th October and walked with kit along the Stour Valley Path via Little Henny, Ballingdon, Sudbury Common Land to Rodbridge, where they were met by Liz and Eddie.
They then drove to Two Mile Bottom near Thetford, Suffolk. Camping next the river and railway line – they set about setting up their tents and shelter. They cooked their meals on trangia stoves sheltering from the rain under the shelter.
In the morning – they were dropped off at Santon Downham and hiked to Brandon Country Park where again they were picked up and taken to High Lodge, Thetford Forest for Go Ape activity.
