HOW TO JOIN RAINBOWS

Unit Leader: Kathy Tofts (01787) 228275

Assistant Leader: Anna Bocking (01787) 476847

Welcome to 1st Bures Rainbows. Rainbows is for girls aged 5-7 years. We meet every Tuesday 4.00pm-5.00pm (during term time only) at the Scout and Guide Headquarters, The Croft (off the High Street), Bures St Mary. At our meetings Rainbows enjoy a range of activities and challenges to encourage them to think for themselves, helping each Rainbow to develop and enjoy learning. We have a parents rota for those who are able to help by attending meetings a few times a year.

Uniform

The minimum is a blue tabard. There is a whole range of clothing to choose from – a price list of items can be provided upon request. Sensible footwear is required.

More information

If you would like more information or you would like to add your child’s name to the waiting list – please contact either of the following:

Assistant Leader: Anna Bocking (01787) 476847

Access to the Scout and Guide Headquarters

Entrance by car is from the Sudbury road (B1508) just past the cottages (Croft End). Exit is via The Croft. This in effect makes a 'one-way system' on Rainbow nights. Drop-offs and pick-ups must therefore be kept brief to prevent hold-ups. If you require to see a Leader at the end of the meeting please come a little earlier and park in the car park – to avoid hold ups with other parents. Speed limit down The Croft is 10mph.

     Supporters Committee

We would like to welcome all parents to serve on the supporters’ committee, to help raise money for new equipment, running costs, and the organising of events. Informal meetings are held six times a year at the Eight Bells public house! During the year, a few work mornings are organised, to help keep the hut clean and tidy, and parents are welcome to help.
