National Scout & Guide Concert Band

We’re proud to share that one of our Explorers has recently returned from a week playing with the National Scout & Guide Concert Band.

At the end of July, Caitlin joined over 175 other Scouts and Guides from across the UK at the National Scout & Guide Symphony Orchestra and National Scout & Guide Concert Band residential in Stourbridge.

Alongside playing her clarinet in intensive rehearsals for many hours each day, she participated in a wide variety of social, team building and Scouting activities.

The week culminated in the Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra joining together to perform three ‘sold out’ concerts at the Ruddock Hall in Birmingham.

It was an incredibly demanding week but was huge fun too. Caitlin especially enjoyed making friends with other like-minded young people from different parts of the UK and having the opportunity to work in sectional rehearsals to hone her performance skills to a very high standard.
